Planning In The Crane Valley

There are seven large open areas of Green Belt proposed for development in the LB Hounslow Local Plan. The total area of these spaces is over 200 hectares and they represent 19 per cent of the total Green Belt land in the Borough. Friends Of the River Crane Environment (FORCE) are very concerned about these proposals and have submitted objections at each stage of the process since 2016. FORCE will be attending and speaking at the Local Plan review which starts Tuesday, November 9th, 2021

The FORCE response to these planning proposals can be found here

Huckersby Nature Reserve & Dudset Farm Abandoned Camp Clearance.

On Saturday, August 21st at 10.30 am, volunteers are needed to help clear the enormous debris from abandoned camps. This is causing a lot of habitat degradation by the River Crane. It is a massive clearance and dismantling operation estimated to be 3 tonnes, so that it will need as much help as possible. Meet at https://w3w.co/also.about.half

This is the entrance to Waye Ave Open Space. Please be on time as the camps are hidden, and it is unlikely latecomers will find them. Refreshments will be provided. Thank you.
